Refund and Returns Policy

SEVEN SISTERS FOOD AND LIFE STYLE believes in helping its customers as far as possible, and has therefore a liberal cancellation policy. Under this policy:

  • 1. Cancellation Policy
    Immediate Cancellation Only: Cancellations will be considered only if the request is made immediately after placing the order.
    Shipping Cut-off: A cancellation request may not be entertained if the order has already been communicated to our vendors/merchants and they have initiated the shipping process.
    2. Special Orders (Non-Refundable)
    Definition: “Special Orders” include all made-to-order items with short shelf lives, specifically including all Pithas and Ladoos.
    Policy: These items are freshly prepared specifically for each customer. Due to their custom nature and limited shelf life, Special Orders are strictly non-returnable and non-refundable. We cannot accept returns on these items as they are rendered non-sellable upon return.
    3. Return Policy for General Items
    For items excluding Special Orders (as defined above), returns are accepted under the following strict conditions:
    Shipping Deduction: If a return is initiated by the customer (for reasons other than damage/defect), the refund will be processed after deducting two-way shipping charges (the cost of shipping to you + the cost of return shipping).
    Free Shipping Clause: Please note that even if a “Free Shipping” coupon or promotion was applied to the original order, the actual shipping fees (before the coupon was applied) will be calculated x2 and deducted from the final refund amount.
    4. Cash on Delivery (COD) Policy
    Refusal Consequences: To maintain fair service, customers who refuse delivery of a COD order at the doorstep (Fake COD orders) will be permanently barred from using the COD payment option on Assamyumm.com. Future orders for such accounts will be restricted to Prepaid methods only.
    Company Rights: Assamyumm.com reserves the unqualified right to accept, reject, or disable Cash on Delivery (COD) payment options for any order or customer at our discretion.
    5. Refused Delivery & Re-Attempt Protocol
    If a customer refuses delivery and the package is returned to us:
    One-Time Re-Attempt: The customer may request one (1) re-attempt at delivery. This will strictly require the advance payment of new shipping charges.
    No Liability on Re-Attempt: Please be advised that re-attempted shipments are Final Sale. Assamyumm.com assumes no responsibility for product quality deterioration, damage, or expiration resulting from the transit delays caused by the initial refusal. No returns, refunds, or claims regarding quality or expiry will be entertained for re-attempted shipments under any circumstances.
    6. Damaged or Defective Items
    Reporting Window: In the rare case of receiving damaged or defective items, please report the issue to our Customer Service team within 5 days of receipt.
    Verification: Refund or replacement requests will be processed once the merchant has received the proof (photos/videos) and determined the defect at their end.
    Expectation Mismatch: If you feel a product is not as shown on the site or falls short of expectations, you must notify Customer Service within 5 days of receiving the product. The team will review the complaint and take an appropriate decision.
    Manufacturer Warranty: For non-food products that come with a manufacturer’s warranty, please refer the issue directly to the manufacturer.
    7. Refund Processing Timeline
    Once a refund is approved by SEVEN SISTERS FOOD AND LIFE STYLE, it will take 7-9 business days for the amount to be processed and reflected in the end customer’s account.
